The ECCO SA917N Smart Back-Up Alarm is one of the most rugged and powerful back-up safety devices available, designed for the most demanding heavy-duty environments, including construction sites, mining operations, waste management, and large vehicle fleets.

This alarm features ECCO’s pioneering Smart Alarm® technology, which eliminates the need for manual volume adjustments. It constantly monitors ambient noise and automatically calibrates its tonal ("beep-beep") sound output to be 5 dB(A) above the surrounding noise level, ensuring it meets OSHA audibility requirements without becoming a public nuisance. The alarm's self-adjusting range is from a safe minimum of 87 dB(A) up to a maximum, ear-piercing 112 dB(A) for high-noise areas.

The SA917N is built for extreme durability. It boasts a reinforced nylon or steel-like housing, a reverse-mounted speaker for debris protection, and its electronic components are fully epoxy-sealed against dust, moisture, and vibration. Its resilient construction makes it steam cleanable and pressure-washable.
