The Grote 62231 utilizes the revolutionary Gel-Mount® bulb cradle design, which acts as a shock absorber for the 12V 1157 bulb filament. This superior vibration protection dramatically extends bulb life and reduces the costly downtime associated with frequent bulb changes.

As a Dual-System (Function R(2)) lamp, two units are required to meet the full FMVSS 108 backup light requirements. Built for longevity, the light features a robust polycarbonate housing and a special O-ring seal design that eliminates corrosion and securely locks out moisture and dirt. It easily mounts into standard oval lamp grommets and brackets (sold separately) and uses a Female Pin connection for seamless integration.
