Grote 87173 Premium UltraLink™ 20' Straight ABS Power Cord – 7-Way, Green Heavy-Duty Electrical Assembly

The Ultimate in High-Performance ABS Power Delivery

The Grote 87173 Premium UltraLink™ ABS Power Cord is a top-tier, 20-foot straight electrical assembly engineered for fleets that require maximum reach and unyielding reliability. Designed specifically for ABS-equipped trailers, this green power cord exceeds minimum legal lamp power delivery requirements for both single and double trailer configurations. Built for the "Road Ahead™," it ensures consistent voltage to your critical safety systems in even the most demanding long-haul environments.

Advanced Polymer Protection for Harsh Conditions

As part of Grote’s Premium line, the 87173 features an advanced polymer jacketing material. This high-grade jacket provides complete sealing and superior abrasion protection, outperforming standard cables in chemical, fuel, and UV resistance. Engineered to survive punishing environments, this cord maintains its performance in temperatures ranging from -55°F to 190°F (-48°C to 87°C), making it the perfect solution for extreme weather operations.

Crush-Resistant and Moisture-Proof Engineering

Durability is built into every component of the UltraLink™ design. The zinc die-cast plugs are filled with a specialized elastomeric material that acts as a potting agent, sealing the solid brass terminals from moisture, road salt, and corrosion. Grote’s innovative design uses a special adhesive to bond the cable to the plug, eliminating the need for a supporting spring and preventing water from "wicking" into the back of the connection. Its crush-resistant construction is so robust it can survive being run over by a heavy-duty vehicle—a scenario that would render conventional hollow-core designs useless.
