Grote 87182 HD UltraLink™ 15' Straight Power Cord – 7-Way, Heavy-Duty Tractor-Trailer Electrical Assembly

Maximum Reliability for Heavy-Duty Power Delivery

The Grote 87182 HD UltraLink™ Power Cord is the professional choice for secure tractor-to-trailer electrical connections. This 15-foot straight cable is part of Grote’s premium UltraLink™ series, engineered to exceed minimum legal lamp power delivery requirements for both single and double trailer configurations. Designed for the "Road Ahead™," it ensures your lighting and electrical systems receive consistent, uninterrupted power in the most demanding long-haul environments.

Advanced Protection Against the Elements

Built to outlast standard cables, the 87182 features zinc die-cast plugs filled with a specialized elastomeric material. This "potting" process completely seals the solid brass terminals from moisture, road salt, and corrosion while providing industry-leading crush resistance. Unlike standard cords, Grote uses a specialized adhesive to bond the cable directly to the plug. This design eliminates the need for a supporting spring and prevents moisture from "wicking" into the back of the plug—a leading cause of electrical failure in heavy-duty trucks.

Superior Material Engineering

Constructed with an advanced polymer jacket, the 87182 is built to resist chemicals, fuel, and abrasion. The straight-cord design is ideal for specific trailer setups where a coiled cord isn't required but maximum durability is mandatory. This power cord remains flexible and reliable in extreme temperatures, operating from -40°F to +176°F (-40°C to +80°C). With corrosion-resistant solid brass terminals that provide superior current capacity and minimal voltage drop, this cord is the ultimate solution for fleet longevity.
