With Truck-Lite’s "Smart Box" design, the trailer's internal wiring harness remains completely stationary on fixed internal studs. When a 7-way receptacle gets worn down or damaged, there is no need to touch the main electrical harness. The replacement receptacle simply plugs directly into the interior assembly and tightens securely using just two nuts. Premium brass jumpers bridge the electrical paths from the internal studs to the 7 split pins, eliminating the threat of strand damage and reducing electrical resistance.

Constructed from a highly durable, non-conductive, and corrosion-resistant GE Noryl plastic material, this surface-mount trailer junction box is built to survive brutal road conditions. It features a direct wired ground to protect internal circuits, color-coded circuits with embossed notations for quick identification, and two tightly sealed cable entry grommets to block out moisture, dirt, and road debris.
